Kelz is a licensed social worker, certified teacher, health coach, behavior change specialist, HIV counselor, and Reiki practitioner with over 20 years of experience at the intersections of social work, education, and public health. Their expertise is deeply informed by both professional training and lived experience as a queer, nonbinary, polyamorous, disabled single parent.
Passionate about equity and systemic change, Kelz leverages their privilege as a white, college-educated person in the U.S. to challenge and dismantle oppressive norms in every space they enter. Through speaking, training, and advocacy, they create transformative learning experiences that inspire action and radical reimagination.
Kelz is a reemerging, values-driven, mixed-medium artist whose work is deeply rooted in advocacy and community. As a member of and advocate for queer and disabled communities, Kelz brings their lived experience, intersectional lens, and passion to every creation- exhibiting their artwork and facilitating transformative art experiences. Kelz’s career spans over 20 years at the intersection of art, education, public health, and social work. This diverse background informs their ability to curate tailored art experiences that meet their clients’ unique needs, including group bonding, healing, and identity exploration. Kelz aims to create safe, empowering spaces where individuals can explore their expansiveness and feel truly liberated- individually and collectively.
